I’m A Celebrity: Is The Vamps singer James McVey heading for the jungle?

The Vamps star James McVey looks set to trade singing hit song Wild Heart for a real-life stint in the wild.

The 24-year-old singer has reportedly been tipped to jet out to Australia for the new series of I’m A Celebrity.

Show bosses are said to be keen to get McVey on-board in a bid to entice a broader viewing audience.

An source told The Sun: “James is certain to cause excitement with his topless shower scenes and even though he has a girlfriend, producers are still hoping for a jungle romance.”

Standard Online has contacted representatives for McVey and I’m A Celebrity for comment.

An official line-up is yet to be announced but everyone from singers to professional quizzers and soap stars have been bandied about.

The Chase’s Anne Hegarty, football manager Harry Redknapp, Hollyoaks star Malique Thompson-Dwyer and Holby City’s Rosie Marcel are among the names in the mix.

X Factor runner-up Fleur East, Made In Chelsea socialite Jamie Laing and Strictly Come Dancing 'kissgate' culprit Seann Walsh are also rumoured, alongside Celebrity Big Brother villain Roxanne Pallett.

The 18th series of the hit reality TV show will mark a first for host Declan Donnelly who will present alongside Holly Willoughby instead of Ant McPartlin.

The This Morning presenter was seen beaming out and about in London on Thursday, days before she is due to trade the studio sofa for life Down Under.

Earlier this week, Willoughby said goodbye to her closest friends ahead of her three-week stint, showing off a good luck cake that had been made for her.
