I'm A Celebrity hosts Ant and Dec take jab at Solskjær when introducing David Ginola

It took Ant and Dec just moments of I'm A Celebrity's launch episode to crack a joke at the expense of Ole Gunnar Solskjær after he got the sack from Manchester United on Sunday.

Hours before the much loved ITV show returned, the Norwegian boss, and former star striker for the Red Devils, was given his marching orders, following United's dismal defeat against Watford on Saturday.

A statement by the club on his departure read: "Ole will always be a legend at Manchester United and it is with regret that we have reached this difficult decision.

"While the past few weeks have been disappointing, they should not obscure all the work he has done over the past three years to rebuild the foundations for long-term success.

"Ole leaves with our sincerest thanks for his tireless efforts as Manager and our very best wishes for the future."

As another former player, Michael Carrick takes temporary charge at Old Trafford, Ant and Dec couldn't resist getting a jig in, with the opportunity arising as they introduced contestant David Ginola, a former favourite at their beloved Newcastle United.

Teasing David's arrival, Dec said: "We start with an unemployed ex footballer from the 1990s," to which Ant quickly replied: ""Ole Gunnar Solskjaer? That's football."

Putting on a French accent in honour of ex Magpies midfielder David, Dec replied: "It's much better than that," as video cut to Ginola arriving in Wales.

David had a big impact on co-star Danny Miller, with the Emmerdale actor saying: "David Ginola is a bit of an icon to me. Still like so cool and good looking.

"I hope I look like him at his age because he is just fit isn't he?!"
