I'm A Celebrity hosts Ant and Dec say Jordan North is 'most frightened' contestant ever

I'm A Celebrity hosts Ant and Dec have dubbed Jordan North the 'most frightened' contestant in the history of the show.

The Geordie duo were heralded as ' the saviours of 2020' as they appeared on screen on Sunday night to front the first episode of the new series.

The launch show saw University of Sunderland graduate Jordan struggle with the show from the outset, vomiting after jetting into north Wales in a helicopter and then looking petrified when faced with the prospect of having to abseil down a cliff face.

Jordan, 30, came in for some cheeky digs Ant and Dec as they watched him squirm and then they dealt him a killer blow when they revealed that the popular Radio 1 DJ had been voted to do the first proper trial alongside Shane Richie.

We'll see the pair take on Viper Vault on Monday's episode but, in a preview clip of the trial, Jordan tells the presenters he's "never been so scared."

And, teasing the trial on their Instagram story as they headed onto the set at Gwrych Castle on Monday evening, Dec said: "We just have to tell you about tonight's trial," with Ant interjecting: "It could be my favourite ever!"

Dec then added: "I've never seen somebody as frightened by a trial in 20 series of I'm A Celebrity, " before Ant explained: "He was shaking, he was crying...let's not spoil it, but it had everything."

Jordan is joined in the trial by EastEnders actor Shane, who has been branded the 'most popular' contestant in I'm A Celebrity history after his odds shortened in the wake of Sunday's first episode.

He is at 9/4 now, with Jordan and author and Giovanna Fletcher behind him in the current betting.
