I'm A Celebrity fans were left retching on Sunday night as the show's hosts Ant and Dec stepped into the Bushtucker clearing for the first time to take on some torrid trials.
Yes, loads of famous faces would have been looking on with glee at home as the tables were turned on the presenting pair after nearly 20 years of them laughing their heads off as contestants get put through the mill while trying to win stars for camp.
It was former I'm A Celebrity finalist Joel Dommett who sprung the nasty surprise on Ant and Dec and, first challenge Catch A Falling Star led to Dec shouting an iconic line from Byker Grove as Ant struggled to see through his goggles after they were covered in slime and cockroaches.
Of course the most famous I'm A Celebrity trial is the eating one and the Geordie duo didn't escape that one.
Ant joked: "The best thing about this is Dec's wife is our manager so she'll have signed off on all this!"
The lads, while not looking too enamoured with the dishes put in front of them, soldiered on but there was one course that proved too much for Dec too stomach - a very unappetising looking cockroach smoothie.
A confident Dec, despite being warned to by Ant, opted to try and down the drink but, in horrible but hilarious scenes, ended up throwing it back up.
He apologised to viewers, many who could well have been tucking into a Sunday night takeaway while they were watching and, despite going for it to begin with, ended up admitting defeat.
One viewer reacted: "Oh my days Ant and Dec’s trials have me sick," and another tweeted: "Catching up on the im a celeb tonight watching @antanddec doing their trials an honestly im finding the fact decs wife signed off on all this really bloody hilarious. never laughed so much watching dec drink this drink
The trial came before Ant and Dec revealed the I'm A Celebrity lineup for this year.
Stars heading to Wales for the new series include Mo Farah, Jessica Plummer and Shane Richie.
