I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here in numbers, from highest paid to creepy crawlies

Prepare for thousands of creepy crawlies and nauseating eating challenges because I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here is almost back.

The star-studded 2021 line-up was revealed On Monday, which includes big names like Louise Minchin, GMB presenter Richard Madeley and football legend David Ginola.

There are plenty of staggering numbers behind the show that give us an intriguing insight to what happens behind the scenes.

The bonkers figures range from the thousands of creepy crawlies to the whopping amount some contestants were reportedly paid.

1 - Celebrities are only allowed one phone call before technology is confiscated, just to make their journey even more difficult.

2 - When filmed in Australia, presenters Ant and Dec will need to be at the studio for 2am to record voice overs for any juicy footage captured.

7- Because of the time difference in Australia, Ant and Dec would go through their scripts and get their makeup done to be in the studio bright and early for 7am. They won't have to wake up as early in Wales, thankfully.

13 - There are 13 edit suites used throughout the series. This is known as the ‘nerve centre’ of the production, which is in use for 24 hours a day where crews are logging every single celebrity’s actions.

30 - Over 30 snakes are bred specifically for each series of the show, which is very unsettling indeed.

21 - There have been 21 series for I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here, and the show is still as popular now as it was back then.

95 - Cheeky presenters Ant and Dec have both won a whopping 95 awards for presenting, these include 19 Best Entertainment Presenter NTA Awards, 43 National Television Awards, 18 BAFTA Television Awards, 32 TV Choice Awards and 9 RTS Awards.

200 - Gwrych Castle in Wales, where the show is currently being filmed, is a 200-year-old building that some believe is “haunted”.

230 - So far, over 230 celebrities have competed in the show, not counting this year's season.

400 - There are around 400 spiders for each season, and yes, some of them do get eaten unfortunately.

500 - Much to the contestant's dismay, there are 500 rats placed in each series, which means a lot of them sleep with one eye open.

153,000 - There’s more creepy crawlies, 153,000 crickets to be exact.

250,000 - Don’t like crickets? Don’t worry, there are 250,000 cockroaches on the show to keep people busy too.

The official line-up for this year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! (ITV)

300,000 - Mo Farah was said to be the highest paid earner on I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here, earning an estimated £300,000. This was £200,000 less than the highest-paid celebrity last year, Caitlyn Jenner, who was said to be paid £100,000 less than Noel Edmonds.

2.5m - There’s a crazy 2.5 million tiny little meal worms used during each season which is enough to make anyone's skin crawl.

12m - The I’m A Celeb 2020 launch amassed over 12 million viewers who were keen to see what the show had in store, we can only imagine how many people will be tuning in this year.

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! begins on ITV and ITV Hub on November 21.
