I'm A Celebrity fans slam 'unfair' trial before Richard Madeley's exit from ITV show

I'm A Celebrity fans have branded Richard Madeley's trial as "unfair".

The Good Morning Britain presenter - who was forced to quit the show earlier today after being rushed to hospital - took part in the Castle Kitchen Nightmares trial during yesterday night's show.

And following the confirmation of his exit, fans have been reflecting on his tough trial, branding it "impossible".

Richard was taken ill in the early hours of the morning and was sent to hospital as a precaution and he later released a statement to insist he was doing well but had to leave the programme as he had been forced to break the show's Covid regulations.

"Totally unfair trial, rethink it please!" one person wrote online.

Another added: "That was such a dumb trial it was literally impossible to do."

"I think the time for that trial was ridiculous. 10 minutes, he had no chance in that time. But well done richard you gave it your best shot," a third wrote, with a fourth adding: "#ImACeleb Ridiculous and impossible trial for Richard Madeley. You knew it wasnt happening with the time given even after skipping sections. GET REAL."

He has been forced to exit the show (ITV)

In the trial yesterday, Richard was tasked with collecting 10 stars whilst being pelted with fish guts and offal

Revealing what he had to do, Ant said: "This is castle kitchen nightmares, you have 10 minutes to find 10 stars hidden within the trial. Each star you find is a meal for the camp tonight. They could be hidden anywhere, in the walls, in the pots, down the rubbish shoot.

"When you find a star, pop it in your star bag. Only stars that are in the bag at the end of the trial will count."

Fans will no doubt have wanted to see more of Richard (ITV)

With Dec telling Richard: "Now as this is a trial it will be full of castle critters throughout. If you want to stop the trial, shout ‘I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here’ and we’ll get you out."

Richard managed to secure four stars - but he was disappointed with his effort.

He struggled with untying the knots on the string that held the stars in place and he shouted "holy moly" as the offal and guts were poured all over him.
