I'm A Celebrity fans say show is a 'disaster' after Corrie's Andy Whyment is 'robbed' of jungle title

The result of votes never seem to go down that well lately - and the same goes for I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!

The ITV reality series came to an end on Sunday night with Coronation Street star Andy Whyment just being pipped to the post by Jacqueline Jossa.

Andy, who plays Kirk Sutherland in the Salford-based soap , was hot favourite to win the entire 2019 series but after 11 million votes were cast, it wasn't meant to be.

But that hasn't stopped fans of the actor hitting on social media with some branding the show a 'TV disaster'  and wanting 'Justice for Andy'.

"True British TV disaster, Andy is the real winner #ImACeleb," tweeted one.

Another said: "Don’t know why everyone is so surprised, the British public hasn’t been good with voting for about 9 years now. #ImACeleb."

"Andy absolutely robbed, what a legend #ImACeleb," a fan commented.

A fourth added: "You aren’t the king of the jungle but the country loves you #ImACeleb."

Others also said: "HOW DID ANDY NOT WIN."

"This year's true winner, King Andy."

"Well that’s me never watching #ImACeleb .. poor Andy got robbed."

Referencing a rather crucial vote coming up this week, a final comment read: "If the British public can’t be trusted to vote Andy as king of the jungle, how tf are we gonna make any decent decisions on the 12th of December #ImACeleb."

Speaking before the result was announced, an emotional Andy said of being in the final: "I can't believe it, I'm absolutely over the moon.

"I never thought I would be runner up or King of the jungle, what is going on?"

A superfan of the show, the 38-year-old said the experience was "surreal".

"You know how much of a fan I am of this show," he told Ant and Dec.

"It was a lot harder than I thought when you watch it at home you just see an hour you don’t realise how much work goes in to running the camp."

When the result was announced, Andy said new pal and fellow campmate Jacqueline "completely deserved" the win and joked: "I'll be back at work next week."

We are sure Weatherfield has missed you, Andy.
