If it wasn’t bad enough that Andy Whyment missed out on I’m A Celebrity glory - today he took part in a Good Morning Britain interview and was ‘virtually ignored’.
The Coronation Street star, who plays Kirk Sutherland, appeared on the breakfast programme along with Kate Garraway to talk about their time in the jungle.
But poor Andy barely got a word in edgeways as Kate was favoured by her colleagues Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid, who were more interested in crowning her the unofficial ‘queen of the jungle’.
Andy was the ITV reality show’s favourite to win from the moment he entered camp as a late arrival with Cliff Parisi.
But fans were left devastated as Eastenders star Jacqueline was crowned winner amid weeks of rumours about her husband Dan Osborne’s fidelity.
Last week the Towie star strenuously denied that he had a threesome with former Celebrity Big Brother housemates Chloe Ayling and Natalie Nunn.
Andy came second on the show behind winner Jacqueline Jossa, while Kate narrowly missed out on the final and came fourth.
The pair spoke to Piers and Susanna via videolink from Australia following Sunday night’s final - with Kate taking the lion's share of attention.
Andy barley said two words during the five minute chat, with Kate being the focus of the majority of questions, such as her highs and lows from her time in camp.
GMB viewers were fuming with the way the interview was conducted, with many complaining on Twitter.
One said: “Felt sorry a bit for Andy #GMB was more interested in Kate because she presents the show some days. Poor guy just sitting next to Kate only to be told congratulations coming runner up on #imaceleb.”
A second said: “So rude to virtually ignore Andy, he came second after all. Should’ve just had Kate on if you weren’t going to speak to him.”
A third said: “Poor Andy ... that was a bit rude ... was he there for decoration?”
A fourth raged: “Poor Andy. Ffs. All about Kate.”
