I'm A Celebrity fans complain to show bosses as they slam 'evil' move as next celeb is sent home

In Monday night's I'm a Celebrity ...South Africa the campmates learned that, in a dramatic twist, they’d be choosing who would be next to be voted out of camp. After saying goodbye to Shaun Ryder and Gillian McKeith in the all-stars spin-off series to crown the first I'm A Celebrity ...Get Me Out Of Here! legend, the celebs each voted in a secret ballot.

At the start of the latest episode, they woke up unhappy about the prospect of having a hand in who was leaving that morning. Hosts Ant and Dec arrived in camp to reveal who will be leaving immediately, but viewers were fuming to be left on a cliffhanger and having to wait until after the ad break just minutes in.

They took to social media to vent with some sweary tweets. @gettheshotsin raged: "B****rd adverts man ... 8mins in and an advert is a p***take." And @Chestikov69 fumed about the ads: "You've just come on." And @ThatOneEdgyKid exclaimed: "Oh you pr***s."

@MisterRichens tweeted: "Not even 10 mins in and an advert." And @UKTVForever complained: "Bad Timing for Adverts." And @kezzab333 also said: "I wish #ImACeleb wouldn't leave things on a cliffhanger right before the ads."

@BigHideout asked: "When will TV producers realise as breaks like that are not appreciated!" And @DavidMackayy commented: "@imacelebrity y’all are so evil for cutting to adverts I feel like you cackle when you plan it."

Georgia 'Toff' Toffolo was also annoyed when it was announced that Bolton boxer Amir Khan would be saying his goodbyes. "What a cock up it's not right," she said.

And former royal butler Paul Burrell was in tears. "Amir is a king in his own domain," he told the Bush Telegraph. "He brought strength and he was a real life force in this camp," he praised.
