I'm A Celebrity brings back past trial after major flop - as Ant and Dec make dig

I'm A Celebrity brought back a trial from earlier in the series on Monday night in Boiling Point: The Return, after it was wasted on one campmate.

Radio star Chris Moyles failed to get very far in the tough challenge, which required him to crawl through tight spaces and go under water to unscrew stars.

Viewers will recall Chris struggled in one of the first rooms, so he didn't make it all the way around - and he only secured two stars, one of which he dropped on the way out.

With not all of the trial being shown, and Chris doing so badly, the show brought it back for Monday's episode.

This time, Hollyoaks star Owen Warner took on the challenge once campmates were told what the latest task would be.

Chris joked in the Bush Telegraph: "I really wanted to have another go at Boiling Point because I did such a brilliant job last time… oh no, that’s right, I basically panicked and ended up with one star. That was it."

On his decision to do it, Owen said: "I’ve wanted to do quite a physical challenge. I feel like all mine have been just getting gunked… I’d like to do something physical."

Chris then offered Owen advice about what the trial included, so that he was prepared.

Owen then headed to the trial area where he met hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly, with the duo making a hilarious swipe about Chris' previous attempt.

Ant and Dec asked Owen why he’d chosen to do the Trial, and he said: "No-one else really fancied the Trial to be honest. Chris didn’t really sell this one to anyone."

Dec then said: "This is the one that Chris struggled with. Do you think you can do better?" to which Owen replied: "I feel like the way he explained it, if I kept my cool and kept my focus I’d be alright. And tighten the bag - most importantly!"

Explaining the rules for Owen, Ant said: "This is Boiling Point: The Return. You have to enter the boiler room and retrieve the set of four spanners. You’re going to use those spanners to find 9 stars that are hidden within the boiler room and the underground network of pipes.

"Now, once you get a star, pop it in your star bag, this is important, only stars in the star bag at the end of time will count. Now this is a Bushtucker Trial so you won’t be alone in there. You’ve got 10 minutes to do this Trial."

Mocking Chris' attempt, Dec told Owen: "You don’t have to do it, but that means you’ll go back having done worse than Chris Moyles and you don’t want that."

Owen laughed off the remark, and added: "No chance."

The hosts were soon left impressed by Owen, as he stormed through the trial and had plenty of time left on the clock when he finished.

Not only that but he managed to secure all nine stars for camp, having battled through snakes, toads and other unwanted guests.

On learning Owen had been triumphant, Chris said: "How bad does this make me look now, you know? One star... all the stars, ran out of time... had time left on the clock…"

I'm A Celebrity airs every night at 9pm on ITV and ITVX.
