The new series of I'm A Celebrity has been met with backlash after furious locals in Wales hit out at TV crew for taking over their land.
The coronavirus pandemic forced the hit ITV show's producers to swap the Australian jungle for Gwrych Castle for the first time in its 18-year history.
However, locals have complained about some of the measures the crew - including hosts Ant and Dec - have taken to get ready for the arrival of the celebrities for the reality show.
It has been reported some of the footpaths and walkways surrounding the castle have been cornered off in order to to film Bushtucker Trials, Chronicle Live reports.
An angry resident took to Twitter to rant and wrote: "Ant and Dec close down Abergele Castle footpaths in North Wales.
“Do us a favour, get yourselves out of here. We don’t need you,”
Another furious resident echoed those sentiments and wrote: "So, at least we now know why we’ve all been barred from the tracks and paths around Gwrych these last few months.”
Another angry Twitter user was confused as to how the show is still allowed to go ahead given the stringent lockdown restrictions in force in Wales at the moment.
"Why are people who shouldn’t be there, there ?? I've just had my holiday in Abergele cancelled due to the new covid conditions. Gutted I was," they wrote.
It comes as the I'm a Celebrity line-up was 'leaked' last week, with stars including Vernon Kay reportedly offered £150,000 to take part.
Meanwhile Coronation Street's Beverley Callard is said to be joining the show alongside bookies' favourite to wine, Olympic champion Mo Farah.
Other names linked to the show this year include BBC host Victoria Derbyshire and former Strictly pro AJ Pritchard.
