I'm a Celebrity announces Love Island's Olivia Attwood as she arrives in Australia

Olivia Attwood has been announced for the hit reality show I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! as she touched down at the airport in Australia, ready to appear on our screens next month.

She will be the first ever Love Islander to ever face the jungle. Previously, there was a rule that meant former Islanders couldn't appear in the much-loved survival-based show.

As she arrived at the airport and spoke to fans, Olivia said she'll miss her footballer fiancé Bradley Dack during her time in the Australian jungle. But she also admitted that she's concerned about her fellow celeb campmates and if they'll be able to handle her fiery nature, writes the Mirror.

"I am scared of me, in terms of how long the other campmates can tolerate me. I will get myself in trouble somehow, the usual," Olivia admitted shortly after landing.

"I haven't packed very many bikinis, we are not allowed very many."

The 31-year-old shot to stardom after appearing on season three of Love Island. She was partnered up with Chris Hughes, 29, but the pair's rollercoaster journey wasn't written in the stars.

Since her appearance in the Majorcan villa, she's also featured on TOWIE and hosted her own documentary titled Getting Filthy Rich, which focused on the sex industry.

"My friends and family have always wanted me to do this show so lets see how it goes. I love Ant and Dec, I have grown up watching them. They are British TV Icons," Olivia explained as her stint on I'm a Celebrity was confirmed due to her arrival in Australia.

Asked what she will miss she referred to her boyfriend, saying: "It is day one at the minute so I'm not missing much. But in three or four days the dogs and my fiance probably.

"I mean four weeks and no sh*gging what can you do?"

Olivia has already said she wanted to make an appearance on the show and has even taken part in mock trials on the show's spin off. In it, she successfully gobbled up fish eyeballs and animal testicles which impressed the viewers.

Former Radio One DJ Chris Moyles was the first celebrity camper to touch down in Australia earlier this morning, saying "it should be nice" in the jungle as he arrived at Brisbane airport ahead of his reality TV venture.

Chris, 48, happily posed for pictures as he made his way to a waiting car and when asked if he was looking forward to spending time in Australia, the star said: "It should be nice, fingers crossed anyway."

When asked if he was scared of things in the jungle like snakes and spiders he joked: "There's lots of everything in this country, like sport and beer and I am not scared of sport or beer. So I think I will be alright."

The Radio X presenter then added: "I have absolutely no idea what my family and friends would think of me doing a show like I'm A Celebrity. I have never asked them. But I think they would be much more nervous about me doing Antiques Roadshow."

Chris is a major coup for I'm a Celebrity bosses and the show's presenter's Ant and Dec, who have wanted the radio personality to appear on the ITV show for a long time.

Chatting with Vernon Kay, who appeared on the Welsh version of the show in 2020, Chris previously implied he would never put himself through a stint in the celebrity jungle.

Speaking on his Radio X breakfast show, Chris told Vernon it only hit him how bad his vertigo was when he took girlfriend Tiffany Austin’s niece to Go Ape.

"I papped myself and I realised I’m more scared of heights than I actually genuinely thought I was," he said, as he explained how his fears have not prepared him for his time on the show.

Chris and Olivia's arrival in Australia comes 10 days before the show kicks off next month, due to ITV bosses taking no risks when it comes to Covid-19 as the show returns to Australia for the first time since 2019.

ITV has asked celebrities to arrive around a week in advance so they can isolate and also be tested for the disease.

Other famous faces are expected to arrive Down Under soon. Names thought to be in the line up include 80s icon Boy George, rugby star and royal family member Mike Tindall, and newsreader and Loose Women star Charlene White.

I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! is set to return on ITV on Sunday November 6, a week earlier than normal to avoid clashing too much with the football World Cup which starts on November 21.
