I'm A Celebrity 2022: Viewers can already vote for new twist in opening episode

Now the I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! line-up has officially been announced, you can read the full cast here, and the series start date edging closer the show has introduced a new twist meaning the celebrities will not get an easy ride into the jungle from the opening moments. The show is back in Australia after filming at Gwrych Castle in north Wales for two years.

Starting with a new twist some of the celebrities will be sent to a completely different island and separate from the rest of their campmates. This year’s campmates will still be split into two teams as usual, but this time the power will be in the viewers’ hands as to who goes where.

Those shipped to the different island will be called VIPs (Very Isolated People) and viewers can vote now to decide which celebrities will endure the island. Once on the island, the celebrities will face the first Bushtucker Trials of the series.

Viewers can vote for which celebrities they want to be shipped to the island on the I'm A Celebrity... app, where they have five free votes, or viewers can vote online. The shake-up comes after viewers were given the chance to vote for the first celeb to partake in the first infamous bushtucker trial last year.

The 2022 line-up features Mike Tindall who will be the first member of the Royal family to enter the jungle. You can read more about the former rugby player, his huge home and his relationship to the King here.

When speaking to reporters about entering the jungle he said it would be the longest time he would be away from his wife Zara Phillips, who is the daughter of Princess Anne, as The Sun reports. He said: "It’s probably one of the longest times we’ve been away completely with no communication. When you go away you still have communication, so that’s obviously going to be the hardest bit."
