I'm A Celebrity 2022: Seann Walsh takes a four-letter pop at Matt Hancock during stand-up routine

Comedian Seann Walsh has taken a swipe at I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! co-star Matt Hancock MP in a new stand-up routine. The pair joined the ITV series as latecomers this year and despite seemingly getting along, Seann has now used a four-letter expletive to describe his former campmate whilst performing at the Soho Theatre in London.

Conversations about the controversial Matt Hancock came after Seann was discussing his own previous scandal - His kiss with Strictly Come Dancing's Katya Jones in 2018. He said of this: “Have you ever had an entire country think you’re a c***? It’s quite a lot to take. It’s quite difficult when an entire country gets together and decide you’re a c***. You don’t really know how to deal with it.

“Unless of course, you’re Matt Hancock, and you just come third in the jungle,” he added. Whilst Matt did, indeed, finish in third place, Seann came fifth overall. You can get more showbiz news and other story updates straight to your inbox by subscribing to our newsletters here.

The Sun reports how Seann then discussed how the experience was as a whole. He said: “Have you had the jet lag dreams? F**king mental. I had this dream I was stood in what seemed like a jungle and Matt Hancock appeared from the bushes and we became undercover moles and then friends.”

Seann admitted the show had done wonders for him though, as he played the first of a sold out string of gigs. He said: “Here we are. Sold out, as well. It’s amazing. About three weeks ago I couldn't sell out a phone box.”

He then explained his reasoning for taking part in the show. Seann said: “I’m not the kind of guy that put money aside. All that money I got in my twenties, all that Live At The Apollo dosh, that went. I didn't realise I had a lot of money. I had so much. It’s insane how much money I had. All of the money went - every bit. I’d love to be able to tell you that with all the money it was like The Wolf Of Wall Street. Like, ‘I was like Leonardo DiCaprio sniffing lines off a hooker’s a**e.’ But what actually happened was I wasn’t paying attention to a variable mortgage.”
