I'm A Celebrity 2022: All the celebrities rumoured to be entering the jungle

The autumn is well and truly upon us and as nights start to draw in, some of the UK's most beloved television has, once again, returned to screens. In the last couple of weeks, Strictly Come Dancing, The Masked Dancer UK and The Voice UK have given viewers their fill of reality TV and soon, I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! will also be back.

Again hosted by presenting duo Ant & Dec, this year's series of I'm A Celebrity will be filmed in Australia for the first time in two years. In 2020 and 2021, the popular ITV series was shot at Gwrych Castle, North Wales due to the restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic.

But which celebrities will be taking part this year? Here's all of this year's rumoured cast.

Scarlette Douglas

Scarlette is known for her role on A Place in the Sun (Channel 4)

The Place in the Sun presenter, 35, is the latest celebrity rumoured to be joining the cast. A TV insider told The Sun : “Scarlette has what it takes to become a big household name like Stacey Solomon and Joel Dommett after her time in the Jungle.

“She has proved to be a hit amongst viewers following the success of her property shows and there is no doubt that she will be inundated with offers for more telly gigs.”

Mike Tindall

With 2022 jam-packed with royal news, I'm A Celebrity producers have reportedly been keen to sign former England rugby player and Zara Tindall's husband, Mike Tindall.

It wouldn't be the first time that the 44-year-old has appeared on a reality TV show, however, as in 2015, he took part in Channel 4 winter sports show The Jump , in which he participated in a number of ski jumping competitions.

Sue Cleaver

Coronation Street star Sue is also tipped to join this year's series of I'm A Celebrity. If she ultimately decides to do it, she would follow in the footsteps of fellow Corrie stars Simon Gregson, Andy Whyment and Jennie McAlpine.

In the popular ITV soap-opera, Sue, 59, has played Eileen Grimshaw since 2000. Since then, she has been involved in some of the programme's biggest storylines.

Chris Moyles

Swapping the radio studio for the jungle, Chris Moyles is a surprising rumoured name attached to this year's series. The presenter, 48, has previously gone on record to say that he has a phobia of heights and will have to have his wits about him in the future.

Chris is perhaps best known for working at the BBC between 2004-2012, before sensationally quitting and moving to Radio X in 2015 - a role he still holds to this day.

Charlene White

I'm A Celebrity is known for attracting numerous journalists to the jungle/castle over the years and 2022 is set to be no different, as ITV newsreader and Loose Women star Charlene White is reportedly being eyed for a role. She would be following in the footsteps of the likes of Louise Minchin, Michael Buerk and Kate Garraway.

In early October, an ITV source told The Sun : “Charlene is a great signing for the show. She’s got some strong opinions, but is really personable and will be good value around the Aussie campfire. They hope her journalistic background means she will eke out some illuminating conversations from her campmates, which shouldn’t be hard given some of the people she’ll be sleeping in a bunk next to."

Babatunde Aléshé

Babatunde can usually be found with Mo Gilligan on Gogglebox (Channel 4)

Known for appearing on Celebrity Gogglebox alongside comedian and friend Mo Gilligan, Babatunde is rumoured to come into his own on this year's I'm A Celebrity.

Aside from sitting on the sofa with Mo, the comedian has also appeared on Romesh Ranganathan’s reboot of The Weakest Link, (BBC), Guessable (Comedy Central), The Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV2), Jonathan Ross Stand Up Club (ITV1), Don’t Hate the Playaz (ITV2) and Stand Up to Cancer (Channel 4).

Seann Walsh

Comedian Seann Walsh, who is best known for his controversial appearance on Strictly Come Dancing, is apparently signed up for this year's I'm A Celebrity.

In 2018, Seann and his Strictly dance partner Katya Jones caused a stir when they were caught by photographers kissing. Katya was married at the time and Seann was in a long-term relationship with actress Rebecca Humphries, so the kiss became headline news in the tabloids.

ITV producers are hoping he will talk about the scandal during his time in the jungle, according to The Sun.

Olivia Attwood

Set to make history in 2022, Love Island's Olivia Attwood is set to become the first member of the ITV2 dating show to join I'm A Celebrity.

In recent years, the 31-year-old TV personality has branched out into presenting roles and earlier this year, hosted her own series called Getting Filthy Rich, which explored the online selling of sexual content on OnlyFans.

Boy George

The Culture Club popstar is the first name the tabloids have heavily linked to the new series in Australia. According to The Sun, the 80s pop icon has finally agreed to take part after being approached several times before.

The 61-year-old singer, whose real name is George O'Dowd, is also rumoured to have a negotiated a special deal with the producers for the show’s infamous eating challenges, which means he won’t have to eat any meat, as he is a vegan.

Tom Daley

One of the biggest rumoured signings for the new series is British diver Tom Daley. Earlier this year, it was reported that the 28-year-old, who won his first gold medal at last year's Olympics, was offered both Strictly Come Dancing and I'm A Celebrity.

With no appearance on Strictly, could Tom be headed to Australia? For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
