I'm a Celebrity 2021: Start date, rumoured line up, location and trailer

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! will return this year.

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly will be back hosting the entertainment show live every night on ITV.

Viewers will see the celebrities undertake gruelling trials and fun-filled challenges to win food and treats in the lead up to one of them being crowned, the queen or king of the jungle.

Last year's series was filmed at the historic Gwrych Castle, Abergele in North Wales due to coronavirus restrictions.

However, bosses are hoping to back out in the jungle this year.

Here's everything we know about the 2021 series so far.

Start date

Traditionally, the show airs its first episode on Sunday.

This year, we can expect the 2021 series to air around November 14

Rumoured line up

Nadiya Hussain

Former Great British Bake Of Winner, Nadiya Hussain revealed she turned down the 2020 series.

But she did say she "regrets not doing it."

Speaking to The Guardian, Nadiya said: "It's just so cold in Wales: if I'm going to have cockroaches in my pants I'd rather it be in the sun, thanks. Still, I can't help wondering what it would have been like."

The Vivienne

The Vivienne told Lorraine last year that she would love to go on I'm A Celebrity.

The Liverpool drag queen, 29, raced to victory ahead of the other two finalists, Baga Chipz and Davina Da Campo, in the 2019 Drag Race contest.

However, she said she is worried about some of the trials.

She said: "I'm petrified of spiders but get me to that jungle, I'd do it.

"What a great life opportunity that I'm never going to get again... I am all for that!"

Jade Thirlwall

Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall has said she'd be up for I'm A Celebrity.

Speaking to Amanda Holden and Jamie Theakston on Heart FM, Jade said: "I’ll try anything once me, do you know what I mean? I’ll give it a crack.

"If something smells bad I won’t put it in my mouth, but I am good at creepy crawlies."

Matt Baker

Former Countryfile and The One Show presenter Matt said he wouldn't say no to appearing on I'm A Celebrity.

He told Hello!: "I haven’t had any conversations yet. I am reluctant to say no to anything without having a good think about it."

Location

Last year, the coronavirus pandemic saw Australia switched for Gwrych Castle in North Wales.

However, it seems that ITV bosses are doing everything they can to get back to the Aussie jungle.

ITV's chief executive Dame Carolyn McCall said: "If we can go back to Australia – and this show is meant to be in Australia – then that's what we'll do.

"We have a very good plan if not, as we have already done it once [in the castle]."

According to the Mirror, And and Dec will have to wait until September to hear whether I’m a Celebrity can return to Australia.

One insider said: “Everyone is keen to get back Down Under this year but, of course, it depends on what the Australian authorities will allow.

“We won’t know for sure if we can get back to the Gold Coast until the start of autumn, when things will be much clearer. Until then, it’s a waiting game.”
