ITV said the series, which will again be filmed in Gwrych Castle near Abergele in North Wales, will start at 9pm.

This year's celebrity contestants are believed to have arrived at the Welsh castle, where the show is being filmed for a second year due to ongoing coronavirus travel restrictions preventing filming at its usual location of the Australian jungle.

Those taking part are yet to be officially confirmed, though it is rumoured Good Morning Britain co-host Richard Madeley has signed up, along with Coronation Street's Steve McDonald, actor Simon Gregson.

Other contestants are said to include Adam Woodyatt (Ian Beale in EastEnders ), Danny Miller (Aaron Dingle in Emmerdale ), and former Saturdays singer Frankie Bridge, the Independent reports.

Ant and Dec are back to present the show - which was won by Giovanna Fletcher last year.

Giovanna's husband, Tom Fletcher, is currently competing in Strictly Come Dancing and is one of the favourites to win the show.

In the latest trailer for I'm A Celebrity Ant and Dec can be seen in medieval armour dressed as knights.

Huddling around a campfire, the pair look freezing as they battle the cold.

The narrator in the clip said: "Two heroes shall brave the elements to ready the camp."

Dec responds: "It's a bit chilly".

Ant said: "I can't imagine anything colder?"

Dec then asked: "A frosty reception at Cledwyn’s?", referring to Kiosk Cledwyn, who replaced Kiosk Kev on last year's series.

Ant responds: "I’d still rather take my chances out here."
