I'm A Celebrity 2021 camp revealed for the first time - and it's much bigger than before

Gwyrch Castle has been transformed by ITV and it is set to be bigger and better than last year for I'm A Celebrity 2021.

Drone photos of the site show the transformation is almost complete for the new series of the show, which starts next week, with two large black buildings having been built around the castle to help provide more room for tasks and challenges.

The general set up looks similar to 2020, although some parts appear to have been improved and renovated to allow more areas to be used and more of the castle's stonework to have been cleaned up.

Just down the hill from the main castle sits two turrets in scaffolding, seemingly being built next to the camp for what could be another head-to-head challenge if the celebrities are split into teams.

With a week until filming begins at the castle, a bungee platform has also been erected over Alexandra Quarry, which is outside Caernarfon in Wales, this week.

This is a drive away from the main site so whilst not confirmed to be part of the show, it looks very similar to a hair-raising challenge normally held on the roof of a 32-storey building on Australia’s gold coast.

It means it could be part of the tasks the celebs complete in before entering the castle.

In the previous series of the smash-hit show, the first episode saw the line-up dropped off in a helicopter, before they had to abseil down a cliff at the Flagstaff Quarry.

At Gwyrch Castle ITV are also hard at work and appear to be using more of the site than ever for filming, with new entrances and other adaptations.

Geordie duo Ant and Dec will be looking to welcome another batch of stars heading to the castle for a second year running when it returns for a new series on November 21.

Soap stars Simon Gregson, Adam Woodyatt and Danny Miller, along with ex-footballer David Ginola and Olympian Matty Lee, are rumoured to be heading in, and the Saturdays star Frankie Bridge is currently favourite to become the new Queen of the Castle.

In a promotional video, Ant and Dec were back in their medieval-style armour as ‘mighty warrior knights’ as they battled the cold around a dwindling campfire.

The narrator said of the pair: "Two heroes brave the elements to ready the camp."

Stars of the show will be required to take a two-week quarantine at a nearby location in Wales with regular testing issued throughout the series in order to keep the cast and crew safe throughout production, as hinted by an insider earlier this month.
