I’m A Celebrity 2020 line-up is complete confirms 'excited' ITV boss

The line-up for I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! 2020 is officially complete, ITV boss Kevin Lygo has confirmed.

Mr Lygo admitted he had been worried celebs would pull out of the show after it was announced it would be filmed in the UK for the first time in it's 18 year history.

But after months of negotiation, My Lygo says the contestant quota is full and he is "excited" about the new series set in North Wales' haunted Gwrych Castle.

"I certainly didn't want a year without I’m A Celebrity.

"We could just about survive without it, but my God it's a premier, wonderful thing that has done so well over a long period," he told The Sun.

Addressing current travel restrictions, he explained: "Australia was always going to be a challenge so we found this extraordinary place in go here in North Wales that's a sort of beautiful, Disney drawn castle crumbling. We just thought it looks like perfect vacation."

He said he thinks "it'll be fascinating to see what audiences do" and it will be a "great challenge to producers to come up with different games and different tasks.

Kevin added he has to make quite a few big decisions and he knows the team are very stimulated by this.

The ITV boss did not reveal who the line-up for the show is but a number of celebs have been rumoured to making the list.

I'm A Celebrity bosses are said to be in "advanced talks" with Keith Duffy.

Keith was reportedly asked to take part in the show last year but he was going on tour with ex Boyzone bandmate Brian McFadden.

This Morning host Eamonn Holmes is the latest rumoured camp mate, according to Coral bookmakers.

Katie Price's former husband Kieran Hayler has hinted that he could appear on the upcoming series of the jungle show.

Speaking about the chance of being signed on the series, Kieran told New! magazine: "I’d love to go on I’m A Celeb. I think there have been talks but I don’t know for sure."

Among the other celebs linked with the show is AJ Pritchard who is was said to be in talks to join the line-up after quitting Strictly Come Dancing.

The cost of hiring the castle for six weeks is thought to be more than £1million.

Gwrych Castle has a dark history as it has been used for Satanic rituals.

The castle - which was a popular visitor attraction in the 60s and 70s - is said to be haunted by the Countess of Dun­­donald who died in 1924.

Local legends suggest the ghost of the Duchess appears floating above a first floor window in a room with no floor boards due to the wood rotting away.

The I'm a Celeb 2020 air date has not been revealed but the show normally starts in November each year.
