I'm A Celebrity 2019: Emotional Andy Whyment misses out as Jacqueline Jossa is crowned Queen of the jungle

After three weeks of jungle mayhem, Jacqueline Jossa was crowned Queen of the Jungle leaving an emotional Andy Whyment in second place.

After 11 million votes, I'm A Celebrity viewers crowned their winner live on ITV on Sunday night.

The Coronation Street favourite was pipped to the post by the ex-Eastenders star after a close final.

Speaking before the result was announced, the Kirk Sutherland actor said of being in the final: "I can't believe it, I'm absolutely over the moon.

"I never thought I would be runner up or King of the jungle, what is going on?"

But it wasn't meant to be for the Salford-born star and it was Jaqueline's time to shine.

Classy in defeat, Andy hugged his new pal and fellow campmate saying she "completely deserved" the win.

Mum-of-two Jacqueline said she was "had no words" as her name was announced.

Earlier in the evening, the actress said that taking part in the show was a "turning point" in her life.

"It was not what I expected," she told hosts Ant and Dec.

"It was a lot harder. I didn't think it would be such a turning point in life, I went in as one person, I feel like I have come out as a different person.

"I've grown in confidence and found who I am as a person."

She added: "I think it's so easy to care so much what other people think of you, trolls, people who say nasty things for the sake of it and I try to change their opinion.

"Here you have no choice, you have to be you. Here I have different people bigging me up of different ages, I can't really work out what is happening.

"I've always been known as Lauren from EastEnders, or a doormat, or whatever you want to call it, and coming here I have actually proved myself."
