I'm A Celeb winner Joe Swash 'returning to show' alongside three ex campmates

Joe Swash has joined the line-up of ex I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! campmates heading back to the show, it has been reported.

The 38-year-old star has agreed to make a surprise appearance in the current series at Gwrych Castle, an insider at the show told The Sun.

Joe was a huge triumph the last time he was in camp and went on to beat tennis legend Martina Navratilova and Star Trek's George Takei in the final - with a whopping 70 per cent of the vote.

Following his initial run in Australia, Joe is bracing himself for a return alongside fellow I'm A Celeb alumni - Vicky Pattison, Charlie Brooks and Joey Essex.

While the star-studded line-up has been leaked, producers are said to be keeping the exact details of the comeback a closely guarded secret.

But it seems Joe's agreement to return has gone down well with ITV bosses and they are hoping viewers are just as keen to see him on the show again.

A source told The Sun: “When they were looking at those to invite back, he seemed a no-brainer.

Joey Essex will also make a comeback (PA)

“Just as with Vicky, Joey and Charlie, exactly what Joe will be doing in North Wales still remains to be seen.

“All sorts of things have been discussed and he’s game for anything.

“He knows the show inside out so who better to have on board. He is buzzing.”

After his successful stint on the show in 2008, Joe was invited to present the spin off show Extra Camp until it was cancelled in 2019.

It was there that he met his future partner Stacey Solomon, after she too was crowned jungle royalty in 2010.

It's thought that Joe has had to isolate for two weeks before being given the greenlight to appear on I'm A Celeb with producers taking extra care this year to keep to the coronavirus guidelines.
