During a Q&A on his Instagram Stories, one followers enquired: "Is the rice and bean unlimited?"

"Absolutely. Not! Enough for each campmate to take in 750 calories," the King of the Castle quickly set the record straight.

He added: "When stars are won the calories are added to by the mad fish or meat. That's sent down with veg I've never heard of."

Answering more questions from fans, Danny went on the confirm this year's I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! scoffed their dinner in the middle of the night.

"Did you eat dinner in the middle of the night as the trials were done after the live shows?" one follower asked the dad-of-one.

"Yes. We'd be eating tea around 2-3AM we reckoned but no idea of time so could've been earlier or later. Either way it was really late!!" Danny recalled when chatting candidly to his fans.

When asked how he would describe his experience, the reality TV star compared being in the clink to "like a prison".

After the I'm A Celeb castle was temporarily evacuated last month, some of the stars took the chance to enjoy some sweet treats away from the castle.

Winner Danny however stuck firm to his diet of rice and beans during his isolated hotel stay.

"I ate a whole fruit and nut and a whole bag of Squashies," Frankie Bridge confessed to Danny and broadcaster Louise Minchin when they reunited in the castle.

"I stuck to it [Castle life]. I didn’t even sleep in the bed," the actor responded to the admissions of sugary snacking from his fellow campers.

"I only ate rice and beans whilst away from the Castle," the disciplined star later added when speaking to The Telegraph.

Danny took his time in the castle seriously, with his his partner revealing he once didn't shower for five days in order to prepare for the ITV show.

Speaking on an Instagram Live, the star's fiancée Steph Jones explained how the hunky Emmerdale star dodged the shower during their time in isolation before he headed on the show.
