I'm A Celeb stars sang Disney songs to dish the dirt without conversations being aired

I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! stars had a special trick to ensure their private conversations were kept off air.

Runner up Jordan North revealed on Monday to his Radio 1 co star Greg James that the contestants are banned from singing songs by Queen, The Beatles or Disney.

Copyright issues mean if anyone were to sing those songs, ITV would be unable to air the moment on screen.

And so Jordan said he and his fellow campmates would deliberately sing banned songs during a scandalous conversation if they did not want it to be aired publicly.

Jordan North appeared on Radio 1 to speak about his castle experience (ITV)

He explained: "Before we went in, we were told not to sing any songs by Queen, The Beatles or Disney because we can't get them cleared

"That means you've got to get the rights for it.

"So if we were having a conversation that we didn't want to go on air, we'd have a conversation and we'd get someone in the background to sing 'I Want To Break Free'.

"So I'd be there with Shane Richie going, 'Is he really like that? I've always loved him on the telly'.

"Shane's saying, 'Can't stand him mate, he is nothing like you see...'

"Then you've got Vernon in the background going 'Hey Jude, don't let me down'.

"Then we'd know it wouldn't go on air!"

Sounding slightly concerned, he then added: "I don't know if we're allowed to say that!"

"Too late mate," replied Greg. "You've said it, it's gone!"

Jordan became runner up on the show which concluded last week, with author and podcaster Giovanna Fletcher being crowned Queen of the Castle.

Vernon Kay came in third with Shane Richie came fourth in the show's first ever series set in a Welsh castle instead of the Australian jungle, due to coronavirus travel restrictions.
