I'm A Celeb star Shane Richie's company 'only has £4K in capital' as he says he's 'skint'

I'm A Celebrity 2020 campmate Shane Richie's company is reported to be only have £4,165 in capital.

The former EastEnders star, 56, has been hit financially like so many since the coronavirus pandemic struck the UK.

According to The Sun, Shane's only business BlueBelle Skye Productions had only recorded £4,165 in capital.

The paper says that this works out at it earning just over £11 a day.

Mirror Online has reached out to a representative of Shane Richie for comment.

The report comes following Shane admitting that his other professional ventures being cancelled have hit his finances.

Speaking to ITV about his money concerns, Shane said: "I was going on tour, doing a TV series and panto but that all got cancelled in March.

"And now I am literally skint! You save money for a rainy day but you don't expect the rainy day to last six months."

However, Shane also revealed that he has had other means to get by to fall back on before he joined the cast of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! 2020.

He added: "Thankfully I've been able to borrow money from mates, my family and the bank and my wife is now very happy we can finally pay off the credit card!

"But what an honour to be asked before lockdown. I am so grateful and I am really looking forward to being around adults again instead of my wife and three children!"

The actor is father to sons Shane Jr., 31, and Jake, 28, from his first marriage to Coleen Nolan, while he also has son Mackenzie, 14, and daughters Lolita, 12, and Romani-Skye, nine, from his current marriage to Christine Godard.

In addition to presenting and other acing roles, Shane is best known for his role as cheeky chappy Alfie Moon on EastEnders which he first joined in 2002 and was last seen in 2019 when his most recent stint on the BBC One soap opera ended.

Shane is now heading into Gwrych Castle, Abergele in North Wales for this year's series of I'm A Celebrity.

He will be joined by the likes of Coronation Street icon Beverley Callard, presenter Vernon Kay and fellow Enders alumni Jessica Plummer in the camp.

I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! starts on Sunday, November 15 at 9pm on ITV.
