I'm A Celeb star Beverley's daughter explains why she has been ruled out of tonight's trial

Beverley Callard's daughter has explained the reason her mum has been ruled out of tonight's I'm A Celebrity trial.

Danielle also addressed the vegan controversy, after viewers were left with raised eyebrows when Beverley tucked into a scotch egg earlier this week.

The Coronation Street actress' daughter has been looking after her social media accounts as she toughs it out in Gwrych Castle.

Taking part in a Q&A, she was questioned on why Beverley had been ruled out of the latest trial on medical grounds.

She replied: "We're not 100 per cent sure why she was ruled out but I would imagine it was the crawling part of the trial because of her hip operation a few months ago."

Another fan had also asked: "How are you eating scotch eggs if you are vegan?"

Danielle responded: "Beverley will be getting vegan substitutes to what the others have."

This comes after hosts Ant and Dec defended Beverley after she received a barrage of criticism after she was seen tucking into a scotch egg and Jammy Dodger, with fans not realising they were both vegan.

On the pair's joint Twitter account, Dec responded: "She got a vegan one tbf. D #imacelebrity."

Last week, Beverley was accused of lying about being vegan after she managed to avoid eating the grim animal parts in a trial.

Instead of penis and pigs trotters, she ate fermented tofu.
