Social media was awash with viewers surprised the TV presenter had dropped the F-bomb while competing in the Bushtucker trial on Friday.
It was boys vs girls when the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! camp took part in the challenge in a bid to win the royal banquet.
Vernon squirmed and swore in terror as he climbed into the box ahead of his grisly task.
Cockroaches were poured all over him while he had to unscrew the stars inside the box.
The Family Fortunes star was pitted against Victoria Derbyshire when she competed alongside him for the girls' team.
Complaints were surging on social media after Vernon dropped the F-bomb during the live TV segment.
Leading the troops, people moaned: "All these people complaining about #VernonKay swearing clearly have never swore by accident before and tbf it was late at night on tv. #imacelebrity @ITV @imacelebrity."

It was the boys who triumphed in the trial and won the meal.
All the girls will have to compete in the next Bushtucker trial as a result.
They will also be on a diet of beans and rice.
