I'm A Celeb's Toff takes on 'hardest trial ever' as fans spot huge change to show format

I'm A Celebrity...South Africa viewers branded Wednesday's trial the "hardest" one ever as Georgia 'Toff' Toffolo attempted to win stars for the main camp.

Toff was chosen to complete the trial and join the main camp after returning to the jungle with Myleene Klass and Andy Whyment.

The Made In Chelsea star was forced to find stars in a dark cave, navigating a series of tunnels with plenty of creepy crawlies and nasty surprises.

I'm A Celebrity viewers branded the trial the "most challenging" one yet as they praised Toff for gaining eight stars.

One viewer tweeted: "@ToffTalks my goodness - that’s the most challenging trial I’ve seen @antanddec #ImACelebSouthAfrica," and another wrote: "#ImACelebSouthAfrica Must be one of the #nastiest trials ever yet #Toff has not let it beat her #8stars great effort."

"How the hell Toff managed to do that was mad! Looks like the hardest trial ever! #ImACeleb," someone else shared while a fourth added: "Okay that trial was brutal but it was one of the best ones ever #ImACeleb."

Some viewers pointed out the trials in South Africa appear to be a lot harder than the Australian version of the series.

One fan remarked: "The trials are harder #ImACeleb #imacelebrity," and another said: "They really amped up the trials for this version. I like it. #ImACeleb."

Toff agreed with viewers and told her campmates the "trials are a lot harder this time" with Coronation Street Helen Flanagan agreeing.

In her pre-show interview, Toff admitted she wasn't looking forward to the trials.

She said: "Ant & Dec are normally coming with something ghastly. I will probably run a mile as it means they are going to tell me to do something awful. I am good at the mind over matter stuff but I find the physical Trials hard. I can be quite tough on myself if I don’t do well in a Trial."

Toff went on to say that her previous jungle experience helped cure her phobia of spiders.

She added: "You will never not be scared of horrible creatures. But I am really chilled now with spiders. If there is one in the house, I will move it. That’s not to say I want a spider as a pet!"

I'm A Celebrity...South Africa continues on ITV on Thursday at 9pm.
