I'm A Celeb's Shane Richie says he's 'dropped two dress sizes' in 10 days

Shane Richie joked he's "dropped two dress sizes" during his 10 days on I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!

The EastEnders star, 56, seems to be shrinking before viewers' eyes as he remains holed up in Gwrych Castle for the ITV reality series.

On Tuesday's instalment, the campmate - whose face looks thinner and clothes appear baggy - said he's lost weight since the show began.

The campmate made the comments to hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly before he took part in a Bushtucker trial.

Shane previously shared he was hoping the tough low-calorie camp diet would help him slim down ahead of his return to musical theatre as drag queen Loco Chanel in West End hit Everybody's Talking About Jamie.

He told The Sun : "If I can drop two dress sizes I'll be happy because I might be going back into Jamie The Musical in the West End, and right now there's no way I'm going to get into my dress."

The cheeky chap joked: "Girls you feel my pain right?! If I'm gonna be a Drag Queen I can't be a size 16!"

It is no surprise the actor is losing weight as celebrities usually do when appearing on the show due to being given scarce food rations.

Each day they are given food that equals to a measly 700 calories - which is comprised of rice, beans and oats.

If they win stars during trials then they can supplement their food intake with meat and vegetables that are sent into camp as a reward.

It is reported that this year producers have had to increase the amount of food they divvy out due to the show being relocated from the Australian Jungle to chilly North Wales.

A TV insider told The Sun: "This year the food in camp will be carefully worked out by nutritionists to make sure campmates are getting enough calories in the cold so they don’t burn through it and grind to a halt - which could be possible with the expected huge drop in temperature in Wales."

Last night, Shane's Bushtucker trial appearance came under fire from fans who were convinced Ant and Dec gave him too much help.

In one moment, they were heard telling him he had missed a star by his foot, with him thanking them and they also told him how to retrieve a star as he struggled, and some viewers thought it was unfair.

Taking to Twitter, viewers begged the pair not to help Shane and to stop getting involved.

One fan said: "Ant and Dec need to stop helping."

Another agreed: "Not ant & dec helping him."

A third added: "Ant and Dec not helping Jess and Aj by not saying where the stars were last night, yet they’re telling Shane where the stars are tonight."

*I'm A Celebrity airs every night at 9pm on ITV.
