Richard Madeley will still receive his £200,000 fee on I'm A Celebrity - despite leaving after four days.
The Good Morning Britain presenter will collect his full fee for starring on the ITV show, e ven though he had to quit the programme today after being rushed to hospital.
Richard was taken to hospital in the early hours of the morning but he has since confirmed he is doing well, but is unable to return to the show as he had to break strict Covid regulations.
He is still expected to receive his full fee of £200,000, despite only staying in the castle for less than a week.
Richard will receive his fee because he had to leave the show for medical reasons, The Sun reports.
He confirmed his exit earlier today in a statement, where he confessed he was "gutted" to leave.
"I started to feel briefly unwell in the small hours of the morning and was taken to hospital as a precaution. By leaving the camp, I had consequently broken the Covid ‘bubble’ and as such I’ve had to leave the castle and all the wonderful celebs," he shared.
"Obviously I’m gutted to be leaving so soon but the safety of all the campmates is the number one priority. I’m incredibly excited to watch their journey continue .. even more so at the prospect of being somewhere a little warmer than Gwrych Castle."
He added: "Thank you to everyone who supported me on my brief but completely unforgettable adventure – I’ve made some great friends and honestly had the time of my life."
ITV confirmed his exit in a statement, adding: "Our strict Covid protocols means Richard has sadly had to leave the show as he is no longer in the bubble the celebrities form when entering the castle.
"He has been a truly brilliant camp mate and we thank him for being part of this series."
Show bosses have also confirmed no one else will enter the castle as a stand-in for him after fans speculated that DJ Locksmith would enter the ITV show in his place.
Richard's daughter Chloe Madeley took to social media this afternoon to reveal her dad was "livid" that he's had to exit.
"Thank you for all your lovely messages," she said, "Dad's absolutely fine, we've been speaking to him all day and ultimately, he's just livid he can't go back into camp because of Covid restrictions."
