I'm A Celeb's Mike Tindall makes huge career announcement after jungle success

Mike Tindall has launched his very own line of colourful swimwear for charity.

He sported the swim trunks, from Budgy Smugglers, during his time on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

Viewers' eyes were glued to the screen when they caught a glimpse of him wearing tight trunks while taking a dip in the pool in the Australian jungle.

The 44-year-old former rugby player's limited edition run, created in collaboration with his team from The Good, The Bad & The Rugby podcast, features jungle-inspired designs.

It also brands the phrase 'These are not my wife's' as well as 'Nibble my nuts'.

Profits from the sales will be going towards Cure Parkinson’s to help fund their research into the condition.

On the website, they describe the product as: “Wrap a bit of the Australian Jungle around you and dive right in” adding “Made in Australia, Inspired by Mike”.

Mike previously spoke of his heartache about his dad’s health deteriorating due to Parkinson’s disease.

Phil Tindall has had the neurological disorder for 19 years.

Parkinson’s disease is a condition in which parts of the brain become progressively damaged over many years, according to the NHS website.

He said: “My relationship with my dad is great, but it saddens me to see the man who taught me how to play rugby and taught me how to be a good sportsman – and generally a good bloke – has declined in his health through the crawling pace of this disease.

“If we can raise money and put it towards a cure, I will go through the pain for him, and enjoy it in some weird way.”

Last year, he described how his father has had a “tough five years”, but that the worsening of his condition stretched back 10 years to 2011 – the year Tindall married Zara.

“I would say he’s had a real sort of tough five years, maybe even longer actually,” he said.

“It’s our 10-year wedding anniversary and it was that year that … through his Parkinson’s, his spine in his back is obviously curved, and then it caused problems with his discs and then he had to have a wheelchair at the wedding. He could walk some bits of it.”

Talking of how his father lost strength after a back operation and then suffered colitis, he added: “When you start adding those things up they’ve made a massive change over the last 10 years whereas before that, you know, it was a lot slower process.

“Then you throw in lockdown and literally they’re both on the vulnerable list so they have not literally left the house in a year.”
