I'm a Celeb's Matty Lee gives behind-the-scenes glimpse into show's prep

The stars of this year's I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here have been sending their last messages to the outside world before the castle claims them.

The contestants will be in the castle for roughly three weeks - depending on how long the public keep them in for - and this year, due to the coronavirus pandemic, they have all needed to isolate for fourteen days before.

Leeds diver and Olympic legend Matty Lee has shared his message with fans through Instagram and revealed that he's most gutted about losing access to his PS5.

Fans of I'm a Celebrity are excited to learn a bit more about Tom Daley's diving partner, who bagged a gold Olympic medal alongside him.

Matty has even joked that he'll be bringing Tom's famous knitting into the jungle, with hats for all of his campmates.

Showing the cottage where he's currently staying in Wales, not too far from Abergele's Gwrych Castle, he spoke about what he'll be doing in the next few days.

He told the camera: "It's like day 11 of isolation of 14.

"I'm currently in Wales in my little cottage but tomorrow they take all our phones, means of communication to the outside world so laptops anything communicating with the outside world is getting taken away from us including my PS5 which I'm gutted about.

"A technician is coming over to do something with my TV so I can only get Netflix which is fine because I'll be alright with Netflix, I like Netflix."

But he shared that now, with just days to go, the competition is finally getting real for him.

He continued: "Yeah it's getting real now.

"I can't wait to get in there now, get going with it. I'm very excited and hope you are equally as excited as I am."

He also admitted it's been a secret he's had a tough time keeping in but he's hoping that viewers enjoy it all.

He had previously shared that he thinks he will "definitely freak out at rats and I know I will scream".

"Heights won’t be an issue though! I am obviously used to diving off 10 metre boards!”
