I'm A Celeb's Matt Hancock infuriates fans as he serenades Gina in unseen reunion clip

Matt Hancock left I'm A Celebrity viewers cringing as he was seen serenading girlfriend Gina Colangelo as they were reunited in last night's scenes.

The disgraced MP, 44, was seen singing Ed Sheeran's Perfect to Gina, 43, as they were driven away from the ITV show's camp following the former Health Secretary's stint in the jungle.

In the clip, which aired on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! The Coming Out Show on Thursday evening, a smitten Matt and was seen with his hand on Gina's lap as Ed began playing in the car.

He soon burst into song, leaving Gina begging him to stop, as she said: "Oh no, no, no, no!"

But, Mr Hancock continued to sing to Gina as she giggled and asked him once more to stop: "Oh no don't, don't sing it to me."

As Hancock finally stopped his performance at the request of Gina, the pair giggled and he pulled her in for an embrace as she held her head in her hands.

As the awkward moment aired on Thursday night, fans were left cringing on social media. One wrote: "I've just witnessed Matt Hancock serenading Gina with an Ed Sheeran ditty. Nothing can top this level of cringe".

"i dont wanna listen to matt sing ed sheeran thanks," another pleaded. [sic]

While another confessed: "I had to turn the channel over when Matt started singing an Ed Sheeran song. Cringe".

"Why are we experiencing Matt singing Ed Sheeran again #ImACeleb," a fourth added.

Others called the couple's loved-up antics 'disrespectful' to Matt's wife.

"Matt Hancock, so respectful to his wife and kids by putting on a ridiculously embarrassing charade," fumed one.

"What sort of man humiliates his wife and family by parading his lover round on TV?" asked another.

In a bid to show he was 'only human' Mr Hancock expressed his love for Ed Sheeran's music during his first day in the I'm A Celebrity jungle.

As the MP entered the jungle with Seann Walsh, the pair got to know one another with Seann asking Mr Hancock what his favourite band was.

Hancock explained: " Quite mainstream… I’m not going to put a tattoo of Ed Sheeran on my neck."

Seann asked: "You like Ed Sheeran?" to which he replied: "Love him, yeah… and I’m from Suffolk as well."

It's then that Mr Hancock started to sing an Ed Sheeran song, singing: "You between my arms… bare foot on the grass… don’t get me singing… listening to my favourite song...What’s it called? Perfect? I love it."

Hancock came third in the latest series of I'm A Celeb, as Jill Scott took home the jungle crown.

Some fans thought they noticed Hancock looking disheartened as he was evicted from camp, despite making it to the final.

"Matt Hancock visibly gutted he is out. He genuinely thought he was going to win," tweeted one.

Before a second penned: "Matt Hancock looks more gutted that he hasn't won #ImACelebrity than when he had to resign as Health Secretary."

"Matt Hancock looked gutted finding out he failed to win @imacelebrity - what an ego. His 'move on' or 'start anew' project has hit the buffers. Reality beyond the jungle is a brave new hell," added a third.

While a fourth commented: "Matt Hancock is genuinely gutted he didn't win isn't he!"
