I'm A Celeb's Jacqueline Jossa says she isn't a 'doormat' after Dan's escapades

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here 's Jacqueline Jossa wants to dispel claims she is a pushover.

The former EastEnders star confessed she thinks people "pity" her after her marriage hit headlines while her husband Dan Osborne was seen partying with a bevy of women on a number of occasions.

However, the mother-of-two insisted she isn't a "doormat" and she hopes her upcoming appearance on I'm A Celebrity will show she is "fine".

She said: “I think people think I am a pushover or a doormat.

“I also think some people pity me. I want to show I am fine, I am up for a laugh and that I will go for it and try my best.”

Jacqueline and Dan's marriage was on the rocks for much of the early part of this year.

Tensions were rising when rumours started swirling the former TOWIE star had cheated on his wife with Celebrity Big Brother co-star Gabby Allen - claims they both denied.

The married couple weathered the cheating storm together, only for the couple to be hit with fresh claims after Dan was spotted out with a string of women in clubs in August.

In the wake of the scandal, the pair fought tooth and nail to save their marriage and provide a safe nest for their two children.

And Jaqueline admitted she is going to struggle away from her two daughters Ella, four, and Mia, one, during her jungle stint.

The actress found it so difficult she didn't even explain to her children she was going to be on I'm A Celebrity.

She explained: “I didn’t know how to face even telling them. In the end, I thought the best idea was to say ‘mummy is going away for work’ and I would see them soon. My family is so close-knit and I will miss them all terribly.”

She added: “This is definitely the longest I have ever been away from them and that is going to be really hard."

Husband Dan threw all his support behind his wife for partaking on the show after he said reality TV had saved their marriage.

She added: “He thinks I am going to be good. He is excited and he’s coming over to meet me when I come out.”
