I'm A Celeb's Giovanna Fletcher heartbroken as she misses out on treat from family

I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! star Giovanna Fletcher was left heartbroken in tonight's show after she missed a chance to receive a treat from home.

During tonight's instalment of the ITV show, Giovanna and the rest of the camp were given opportunities throughout the day to win treats from their families as well as camp dinners.

There was a series of challenges throughout the episode that saw the team put through their paces for a chance to win a key.

The 35-year-old podcast presenter - who is also camp leader - was up alongside Shane Richie, Beverley Callard and AJ Pritchard in a challenge called The Lion and the Serpent.

Jessica Plummer, Jordan North and Russell Watson faced a challenge called The Keys and the Dragon.

Vernon Kay, Ruthie Henshall, Mo Farah and Victoria Derbyshire also took on a challege together.

By the end of the day, the team came together to open a series of boxes with their keys and they were able to select who received a gift from home.

However, it quickly dawned on Giovanna that not everyone would be able to get a treat from home.

Only AJ, Jordan and Giovanna were left empty handed while their campmates received things from their loved ones.

Giovanna later said in the Telegraph: “Your heart aches and then you attach yourself to anything.

"How lovely would it be to hear from Tom and the boys, just a sentence? It’s a sentence and I’m going to pretend each sentence anyone gets is from the kids and I’m going to adopt them like they’re mine.”

It comes after an emotional few days that saw Giovanna get emotional as she reflected about her family at home.

Vernon also revealed that it 'hit home' that some of the I'm A Celebrity cast weren;t going to be in luck as the treats continued to be handed out.

He added: “As the process went on and the boxes became fewer and the treats from home became less she realised that there was an opportunity to not be given a message from loved ones and that’s when it really hit home.”
