I'm A Celeb's David Ginola was 'scared' for own health after Richard Madeley's funny turn

David Ginola was left worried after Richard Madeley exited I'm A Celebrity following a 'funny turn'.

Richard had to be rushed to hospital after experiencing some health issues in the early hours of the morning a few days into his stint in the castle and whilst he turned out to be OK, he had to leave the show as he had inadvertently broken the Covid bubble.

The footballer himself passed away for 12 minutes after suffering a heart attack on the pitch a few years ago, before he regained consciousness in what has been described as a "miracle".

But he admits fellow campmate Richard's funny turn in the show had him a little "scared.

Speaking on ITV's Good Morning Britain, host Susanna said: "Richard obviously left quite soon in the show, but I wonder what impact it must have had there because I know how shocked I was and upset.

"Lots of us were worried about you. It must have been the same for you and the campmates, David?"

David added: "It scared us - it scared us a lot. We didn't know what happened actually," as he added to his girlfriend: "And actually, you were scared as well when you saw Richard."

"Of course, you, David's partner, must have made you worry about him?" Susanna asked the model.

She said: "Yeah, I was really scared. Richard scared me a lot when I saw that."

"You see that Richard the impact you have on people," as David joked back.

Maeva added: "It was really difficult to stay away and I saw him every day so it was okay for me."

Whilst on the show, David admitted he no longer fears death after his heart attack on the pitch.

"When I was out of the hospital, [going to therapy] was the first thing they asked me to do. They said, 'You will not have all the answers to your questions, at least go and talk.' I will get some. I think it’s necessary, it’s very important. Just to clarify things and say, 'Wow, OK.' and when asked if he doesn't fear death anymore, he added: "I guess not anymore."
