I'm A Celeb's Ant and Dec poke fun at Frankie's bad geography as she takes on trial

I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly poked fun at Frankie Bridge ’s bad geography as she took on a trial on the ITV show.

The Saturdays singer was chosen to compete in The Grim Grinder, after her name was picked out of a hat by Naughty Boy, in an effort to fairly decide who would be taking part in the trial.

But mum-of-two Frankie was left speechless as host Dec informed her she would need to bring her intellect to the challenge.

“This is the Grim Grinder. This is a question and answer trial,” he told Frankie.

“Oh no! There is a reason I was a singer, guys!” she laughed.

He went on to explain that she would be strapped into a cage beneath a huge grinder, that would drop a variety of slimy, mashed up treats onto her as she was constantly rotated, all while trying to win the nine stars that were up for grabs.

“In each round a different food will be dropped into the cage. Then the grinder will start rotating. You’ll then be asked a question about the food item that’s been dropped in,” Dec said.

“You’ve got 60 seconds to give us a correct answer. You can guess as many times as you like,” he added.

“I get motion sickness, so bad…” Frankie confessed.

Questions during the stomach-churning challenge included asking Frankie to spell Dauphinoise potatoes, and as she was subjected to a dousing of fish, she had to answer: “How many fish fingers are eaten in the UK every day?”

She incorrectly guessed several times, starting at 8,000 and 10,000, before hosts Ant and Dec encouraged her to aim higher, before she eventually got the right answer which was 1.5 million.

“I think my kids probably eat most of those,” Frankie quipped.

She was also asked, “Italy is the home of pizza, name three of the six countries that share a land border with Italy”, which prompted Ant and Dec to try and stifle their laughter as Frankie made some wild guesses.

She first guessed Spain, then France, before trying Portugal and then England.

Frankie was treated to ground up curry as she was asked: “According to a survey, what are the three most popular curry dishes in the UK?” and got all three right as she guessed it would be Chicken Tikka, Korma and Jalfrezi.

After winning seven out of nine stars, Frankie was pleased with her efforts, but Ant was quick to poke fun at her knowledge of the world.

“So we’ve worked out your geography’s bad, your spelling’s not great, your maths is terrible, but you love a good curry,” he laughed.

“I do love a good curry. I’ve had a long time to think about food in here guys. Everyone’s going to be so jealous. It looks like I’ve been on a massive night out,” Frankie said.
