I'm A Celeb's Ant and Dec cheekily address PMQs shoutout with 'inquiry' dig

Ant and Dec have been at it again.

Hours after they were referenced in the House of Commons during Prime Minister's Questions, the presenting duo made another dig at Boris Johnson.

Earlier on Wednesday (December 8) the Prime Minister was quizzed on the alleged Downing Street Christmas party.

He said he 'apologised unreservedly' for the offence caused by a leaked video which saw senior staff laughing about the party which reportedly took place while the country was under strict coronavirus restrictions.

Labour leader Sir Kier Starmer brought up a moment from last night's I'm A Celeb in which the show's hosts took aim at the PM.

Mr Starmer said: "It is obvious what happened. Ant and Dec are ahead of the Prime Minister on this."

Referencing their shoutout, which left those following along 'howling', Ant said: "So they’ve decided to cover it up…" after the campmates decided not to tell David Ginola they had lost his letter from home for a second time.

"That’s not a very good idea is it?" Dec then commented.

Ant added: "If we’ve learned one thing in the last 24 hours, it’s that you can’t get away with covering things up."

Dec joked: That will come back to bite them at some point. It might take a year, but it will happen.

"The situation was as clear as day. We all watched a video of them getting the question wrong.

"It was obvious what happened. Even Ant and Dec were ahead of the Prime Minister… I mean Danny Miller, on this one."

Dec then added: "Don’t worry we’ll launch an enquiry or something. Not that that’ll do anything…"

Ant then said that it was time to go back to camp where Frankie Bridge had been asking Naughty Boy " a few personal music questions."

But Dec chipped in: "Or PMQs, for short."

Earlier today Dec took to Twitter and referenced their mention in the House of Commons.

After the comment caused commotion on social media, the host shared from the duo's shared account: "Morning. Just getting up after a late night.

"Anything interesting happening this morning? D."
