I'm A Celeb Queen of the Castle Giovanna reveals reason she picked S Club 7 for luxury item

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! winner Giovanna has revealed why she picked 'Reach' by S Club 7 for her luxury item.

The author and podcaster became the first Queen of the Castle on Friday, as she beat BBC Radio 1's Jordan North to triumph in the 20th series of the show, and the first series shot in Wales.

Presenter Vernon Kay also made it to the final, being eliminated in third place - but not before he put in a storming performace on Celebrity Cyclone the day before.

But it was Giovanna's choice of song that won over campmates, fans, and caused many to point out that it is the moment she won the show.

The M.E.N. reported viewers tweeting that "The second she brought S Club 7 into camp Gi won, let’s be honest #ImACelebrity".

And she spoke about the reason she picked the track in an exclusive interview with Lorraine on Monday morning.

Lorraine said: "I think you won it when you brought S Club 7 'Reach for the stars' into the camp, because most people just bring something in for themselves, but you - typical you - brought something in that everybody could enjoy."

Giovanna said: "I knew that music was going to be a thing that we were missing. I took ages to figure out what song.

"So I was thinking about all the songs you listen to at weddings, and what one gets everyone up and dancing and feeling good.

"Reach for the stars, in terms of trials and stuff, I thought 'yes!'"

As the music played behind them, Lorraine remarked: "you can't feel bad when that song's on.

"I did talk to Tom... I said 'ooh, she didn't take one of yours,' but he said it was OK."

Giovanna said: "Every single campmate got up straight away, and they just danced and they sang... it was amazing."

"You can imagine that some people were like 'oh gosh, what's this, what's she doing now?' but everyone did [danced], and it felt incredible.

"We had three plays of it as well and we used them all when all twelve of us were still in camp as well.

"Our last night together we played it as well.

"I played it another day when someone came back with twelve stars, and we just needed a little boost and a celebration.

"It was brilliant just to have something to bring us all together, and their reaction to it was incredible.

"It was something for everyone. Their reaction meant so much to me.

Lorraine is on ITV weekdays from 9am.
