I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly addressed the uproar over Saturday night's recap show with a cheeky gag.
Viewers had moaned that six days was not enough time to need a recap show, and complained they were showing clips that fans had already seen.
Dec said: "Hello, good evening, welcome to Wales where we have got a bumper 75 minute episode for you.
"And we are completely live without a highlights package in sight!"
Ant continued: "Yes, thanks for all your messages about last night’s pre recorded highlights show."
Dec interjected: "It wasn’t just highlights! There was lots of unseen footage."
Ant joked: "We really appreciate the feedback, although I should point out that medically, I can't do that to myself."
"Tonight's show is a belter," said Dec.
"So it should be, it's taken two days to make!" Ant remarked.
"Less than two days after you guys voted for a camp leader, the winner was in office!" said Dec.
"I will say it before and I'll say it again, they should have done the US election via the I'm a Celebrity app," joked Ant.
That was not the only reference to the US election the duo made - they also made a very cheeky joke about Donald Trump.
They were discussing the fact that a lot of the campmates had suffered from gas during the night, due to their diet of rice and beans.
That's the problem with trumps," said Dec.
"Lingers for ages impossible to get rid of and kicks up a real stink."
One viewer tweeted: " @antanddec are just great aren't they.
"Addressing the recap show last night that was a complete flop."
"So appreciate the apology about the recap Saturday..." wrote another.
"Ant and Dec reading all the salty tweets about the ‘recap’ episode after 6 days in .." joked a third.
A fourth gushed: " @antanddec completely taking the p**s out of the recap show situation is why I absolutely love them".
