I'm A Celeb favourite Jill Scott could win with 'party tricks up her sleeve', says fiancée

The fiancée of I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! fan favourite Jill Scott has said the Lioness has ‘party tricks up her sleeve’ which could help her become Queen of the Jungle.

Shelly Unitt says she was not surprised campmates and ITV viewers at home alike had taken to Jill, adding that she would be loving jungle life after years of training and football.

After landing at Brisbane airport, she told The Mirror: “Jill is doing really well and she has got more to come as well. She is a free person and she is getting on with everybody.

“I think because there are so many people in the camp at the moment and obviously we have got to get round to everybody but I do believe there will be a lot more she has got a few party tricks up her sleeve. I am waiting for those to come out but they will.

“Everyone loves Jill and no one has ever ever said a bad word. She is just calm, collected, she diffuses situations if needed and she walks away. She has not got conflict with anybody she will do well.

“She has been in football 16 years, been tied down to restrictions and now being able to do something like this. It is huge and she will enjoy every minute of it.

“It is very different from seeing her playing football obviously because it is just for one hour and I haven’t seen her for such a long time but it is amazing and I think she is doing really really well. We are all rooting for her.”

Asked if it is the longest they have been apart, Shelly said it was not uncommon to be apart from the Lioness star.

She added: “Jill with her football went away with tournaments month to month but we always have contact so this has been the first time ever not speaking. So I am really missing her, I think everyone is missing her. It is a quieter home. Very quiet.

“I have got two daughters as well, Evie and Hattie and so they are missing her and bouncing around. They will watch the show.

“They are so proud of Jill and really excited. I didn't want to leave them at first but they said 'go go'.”

Reflecting on Jill's highlights on the show, Shelly said her favourite part so far has been when she fell out her hammock, adding: “She comes out with some one-liners.

“I think sometimes it just goes with the flow of things. Jill is just being Jill and enjoying her time in the camp. I think she will keep giving to the camp because she is kind and motivated.

“I am looking forward to seeing her do a few more trials but actually she has done a few like eating eyeballs and things like that.”

Shelly and Jill run the Boxx 2 Boxx coffee shop in Manchester and locals have been overwhelming in their support, as has the whole city.

Shelly said: “My goodness me, it is huge in Manchester and it is getting crazier and crazier at the coffee shop which is a good thing for us as a business.

“People are just coming in and asking if she is in and I am like 'she is in the jungle'. She is getting lots and lots of support from different people, not just football so it has been great really. I think people just love Jill for Jill.”

Asked what it would mean for Jill to win, Shelly said: “She would be grateful and humble and ecstatic but she is not in it to win.

“For me and for Jill really I don't think it is about winning it is about the experience for Jill.”
