A large number of I'm A Celebrity fans have insisted that Coronation Street star Simon Gregson was 'robbed' from winning the title of King of the castle.
The much-loved soap star landed in second place during the 2021 final as Emmerdale star Danny Miller championed the series.
Danny, who played Aaron Dingle on the ITV soap for 13 years, was speechless as his name was read out, while runner-up Simon was quick to celebrate for him.
Hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly made the announcement live on air, as the final episode of the series came to a close.
It was Emmerdale's Danny, The Saturdays and Loose Women's Frankie Bridge and Coronation Street legend Simon battling it out in the final to be crowned champion - following David Ginola finishing in fourth place on Saturday night.
But during the live show, Frankie was confirmed to be in third place leaving Simon and Danny to battle it out until the very end.
When the final vote was finally revealed, fans flocked in their hundreds to insist that Simon should have won the show, while others shared their joy that new dad Danny took home the winning title after taking a huge chance by appearing on the ITV show.
Following his win, Danny gushed that his main priority when coming on the show was to earn as much money as he could in order to provide a better life for his baby son Albert, who he welcomed with his fiancée Steph in late October.
Despite Danny's honest admission, fans of Simon still insisted that he was 'robbed' of the win.
"Simon should have won the show hands down. He was the biggest personality in there. I'm so confused as to why he didn't win," tweeted one I'm A Celeb viewer.
"Noooo! Simon was robbed," another insisted.
"I love Danny, don't get me wrong! But I just don't think he deserves to be king of the castle over Simon," someone else added.
"I was so sure Simon would win. HEARTBROKEN," another echoed.
Meanwhile, another furious fan tweeted: "Danny cried too much! Simon just laughed and made everyone around him laugh. He should have won."
Others called for there to be two winners this year, wanting both the soap stars to take the crown.
