I'm a Celeb fans distracted by Ant's pronunciation of popular brand - 'this is not okay'

I'm a Celebrity...Get me Out of Here! viewers have been stumped by host Ant McPartlin's bizarre pronunciation of a household name.

Fans of the show were distracted by the "weird" moment in tonight's episode (Wednesday, December 1), which wasn't just a feature of his famously Geordie accent.

Ant and co-host Declan Donnelly were talking viewers through a tray of personal possessions that the celebrities had tried to sneak into camp, including a small bottle of fake tan and a nail file.

When Ant referenced the tin of blue Vaseline on the tray, he appeared to pronounce the brand with a 'Z' sound rather than an 'S'.

Dozens of viewers were quick to flood Twitter with comments of delight, outrage and confusion.

"I'm not okay with how Ant says Vaseline," declared one viewer, Toni.

"Please tell me you don't actually say Vaseline like that," demanded another, while a third queried: "Just me or did Ant say Vaseline weird?"

Many were amused by the unexpected pronunciation, with one commenting: "Obsessed with the way Ant says Vaseline - vaZZelineeee," adding crying laughing emojis.

They were right to question it - according to the Cambridge Dictionary, the brand is pronounced 'va·suh·leen'.

The live shows of the reality series resumed last night (Tuesday) after a weekend on pause due to Storm Arwen, which caused serious damage at the castle in Wales where the camp is based.

Naughty Boy faced a trial full of jungle creatures in tonight's episode and called for "mercy" from viewers when they vote for the next challenge.
