I'm A Celeb fans BEG Holly Willoughby and Dec to stop using THIS Harry Redknapp joke

I’m A Celebrity fans have pleaded with Holly Willoughby and Declan Donnelly to stop making jokes about Harry Redknapp running over his wife Sandra.

Redknapp told his campmates about the time he ran over his wife’s foot after dropping her off at the shops back in 2016.

Willoughby and Donnelly have used the anecdote as a punchline for several jokes which are starting to grate on viewers who have deemed them “poor taste”.

One disgruntled fan wrote: “Wish they'd stop going on about Harry wife not funny it was horrible and was upset over it doubt he'd like them making fun of it #ImACeleb.”

Another said: “Bit of a low blow about Harry's wife from Holly there #imaceleb.”

A third wrote: “I generally like this show, but I find it really poor taste how "jokes" keep being made about Mrs Redknapp getting run over. She received serious injury in that incident. Time to review your humour. #imaceleb.”

Sandra was injured after getting her coat caught under their car after being dropped off at the shops in Poole Road, Bournemouth, two years ago. Not realising she was caught, Harry drove over her ankle before she fell the ground.

At the time, he told the BBC: “It was just a freak accident you know.

"Sandra went across the road and unfortunately she had gone behind the car to cross over the road and as I went to drive off I drove over her ankle.

"It’s lucky, if the full weight of the car had gone over the ankle god knows what would have happened to her. We're ok. She had an operation on her ankle that went well.”

I’m A Celebrity continues Monday at 9pm on ITV.
