I'm A Celeb fans baffled as Victoria Derbyshire wears a skirt to abseil down a cliff

I'm A Celebrity viewers were left with raised eyebrows this evening after noticing that Victoria Derbyshire was wearing a skirt to abseil down a cliff.

The BBC presenter, 52, made her first appearance on the show tonight.

But fans were distracted by her unusual attire for the windy Welsh weather and flocked to Twitter to comment.

One tweeted: "is victoria derbyshire actually going to abseil in a skirt!?????? #imacelebrity."

While another commented: "Did nobody give Victoria Darbyshire the dress code? Skirts gonna blow going down that cliff #imacelebrity."

A third wrote: "I love that #VictoriaDerbyshire said ‘I shouldn’t have worn white trainers!’ - babe, you shouldn’t have worn a pink silk skirt to abseil down a cliff

#ImACelebrity #ImACeleb."

"so confused why they’ve come wearing skirts knowing full well they’re on i’m a celeb lmao #imacelebrity," another quipped.

Campmates this year aren't getting the chance to lounge around in the humid Australian jungle, but are instead left shivering in North Wales' eerie Gwrych Castle.

This is due to the travel restrictions in place amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Executive producer Tom Gould previously opened up about the show's unique feel this year.

He said: “We want to retain what I'm A Celebrity is but wanting to draw on the castle and the setting to give it that unique new feel.

"I hope that is what we have done. Once we decided and committed to it, doing this has been a labour of love and a chance to reinvent but also keep the parts we know viewers know and love and recognise.”

*I'm A Celebrity returns tomorrow night at 9pm on ITV
