I'm a Celeb Danny Miller's fiancee says she's not surprised he can't stop being sick on show

Danny Miller has shown he has the guts for I’m A Celebrity even if his stomach lets him down.

The terrified actor was sick in his mouth three times on the helicopter ride to the castle and threw up during the Dreaded Diner trial, which had pig brain and cow teats on the menu.

But despite being sick, the ex-Emmerdale star won a meal for his team.

Fans who like seeing stars squirm will be loving Danny but one viewer not surprised by his vomiting is fiancée Steph Jones.

When she was expecting their son Albert, who was born in October, he threw up as often as she did.

The NHS midwife, 30, said: “He’s always gagged a lot. When I was pregnant I had what Kate Middleton had – hyperemesis gravidarum.

“Hearing me being sick would make him sick. I’d be throwing up on the middle floor, he’d be retching in the bathroom above.”

But Steph says Danny can be tough. Last year he did a 25-mile charity walk from Manchester to Liverpool in a day despite terrible blisters.

Steph says: “He does get scared of other things. His dad Vince is 87 but went on Europe’s biggest zip-wire for his birthday in Wales. Danny was petrified but had to do it.

“It was really amusing because at the end the hospital phoned because Vince set off his own pace-maker, but he was still in a better state than Danny.”

Danny himself admitted he gets nervous. On the penultimate night of the couple’s trip to St Lucia last year he proposed to Steph on the beach.

He said: “I thought I was going to be sick.”

She says: “He was so nervous during the meal. He went to the toilet seven times. I said, ‘Do you think you might have a urine infection?’”

Steph said he turned down a helicopter flight to their hotel. She says: “I thought a helicopter would make it feel really special but he didn’t want to.

“When we self-isolated before the castle he was scared of flipping a fuse box in our room so I had to get up on a chair and do it.”

On Thursday Danny’s family allegedly flouted one of the show’s rules banning contact with the celeb during their castle stay. A plane flew past with a banner reading: “Danny Miller to win I’m A Celebrity.”

The message also read “Love from Pufalump,” leading some to think it was from Miller’s family.

ITV has not commented about the incident, nor has Miller’s family.
