I'm A Celeb accused of 'negative editing' to 'demonise' James as devastated campmates cry

I'm A Celebrity viewers accused the show of "editing" James Haskell in a negative light after his devastated campmates sobbed over his exit this evening.

Fans of the show flocked to Twitter in confusion over the campmates' reaction, which included Roman and Jacqueline crying.

Ian Wright also suggested that the heart of the camp had been "ripped out" following his early departure.

One baffled viewer queried: "Was the James thing just editing then? Cause they all got way more emotional than they did when others left #imaceleb."

While another commented: "Classic example of editing - majority of public didn’t like James, saying how horrid they thought he was. Yet to those who were with him 24/7 they are all upset he’s gone #ImACeleb."

A third remarked: "When you see all the remaining camp mates so upset it makes you think was James really that bad it was it just the editing? #ImACeleb."

"The fans watching were harsh on James due to editing imo. Look at the reaction of the camp!!!! The guy usually eats 4000 calories a day, it must have felt horrible at times #ImACeleb," another wrote.

One commented: "Just goes to show the power of editing. All the camp mates adore James! #ImACeleb."

Mirror TV has reached out to I'm A Celeb for comment.

Former EastEnders actress Jacqueline broke down after it was announced that rugby star James would be the fourth person to leave.

Hailing him as her "big brother", she said that she was devastated he had gone.

Jacqueline sobbed: “He was definitely one of my favourite people in here, I felt like I had a big brother in here, it was so nice.”

They waved him off beneath the bridge, with Caitlyn exclaiming: "This game sucks!"

Meanwhile Roman joked: "Let's block him on WhatsApp now!"

But moments later the radio DJ was in tears himself and was comforted by Jacqueline.

“He was someone that I spoke to, I feel I don’t have that person now," Roman said.

He added later in the Bush Telegraph: "I had a real moment when James left because I realised I’d made a really good friend, it was a happy moment but also a sad one..”

Ian added: "“James leaving has ripped the heart out of the camp, he’s supported every person in the camp and it’s a devastating blow and he’s left a void that won’t be filled.”
