'I love them': Sia reveals she adopted two 18-year-old sons

Sia has revealed that she adopted two teenage sons last year.

Speaking on SiriusXM, the Australian singer explained that the boys were both 18 years old and were “ageing out” of the foster care system.

“I actually adopted two sons last year, they were 18 but both are now 19, [they were] aging out of the foster kid system and I love them,” she told the three radio hosts via Zoom on Tuesday.

The 44-year-old musician went on to explain how both of her sons are finding it difficult being in lockdown.

“They are both finding [quarantine] pretty difficult, one more so than the other,” she said.

However, Sia said that the teenagers have found useful ways to make the most of the extra time.

“But they are both doing things that are really good for them right now,” she said. “They’re doing educational stuff that is good for them.”

The news comes after Sia first revealed she had adopted a child in January.

Speaking to GQ about the DJ and producer Diplo, Sia said: “I wrote him a text, and I said, ‘Hey, listen, you’re like one of five people that I’m sexually attracted to, and now that I’ve decided to be single for the rest of my life and I just adopted a son, I don’t have time for a relationship... If you’re interested in some no-strings sex, then hit me up’.”

The interview came after Sia tweeted in March 2019 that she hoped to adopt a 16-year-old boy called Dasani who featured in an HBO documentary about the foster care system in Los Angeles called Foster.

“Hey Dasani from ‘FOSTER’ on @HBO! I’d like to adopt you we’re just trying to find you and get my house check done etc,” she tweeted to 3.8million followers.

“But I want you to know you will have a home with me.”

Sia has not revealed any further details about the two teenage sons she has now adopted.
