'I lost 17 stone and was left with sagging skin - I don't care, it's beautiful'

A woman who has been left with sagging skin after losing a phenomenal 17 stone says she won't let her excess skin get her down.

Chessie May, from the US, says she doesn't think her body is "perfect" but she's embracing her "flaws" after shedding the weight.

Chessie, who shares her body positivity message on TikTok, claims she used to weigh more than 28 stone.

But after having a bariatric operation to change the size of her stomach in December 2019, the weight has fallen off her.

Now weighing in at just over 10 stone, Chessie is much happier in her body - but the excess skin she's been left with sags from her frame.

She's now raising £10000 to afford an operation to remove the skin - but in the meantime she's embracing her wonderful figure.

In a video on her platform, @mrschessiemay, she showed off her body while wearing a sports bra and cycling shorts.

She says: "This is my body after losing 240lbs. You don't have to like it. I do. That's all that matters."

In another video, where she explains she can't afford the £10,000 fee for the operation without asking for help, Chessie says she'll remain positive.

She writes: "Like me or not, I'm gonna love me. There is no breaking me down."

Chessie also breaks down several misconceptions people have about her body, including people who say she needs to "lose weight."

Hitting back, she writes: "I'm not fat, it's excess skin."

While some people leave vile comments on her videos, many are supportive of Chessie's body positivity message.

One person write: "It looks like you worked very hard and be proud of it."

Another said: "When I read these comments I don’t understand people's rudeness. We should encourage people, not break them down."
