'I'll just buy new clothes and carry on': What Nigel Farage has to say about being pelted with a milkshake

Nigel Farage has accused other politicians of 'radicalising' members of the public, hours after he had a milkshake thrown at him.

The Brexit Party candidate was in Greater Manchester to speak at a campaign event in Horwich on Monday evening, ahead of this Thursday's European elections.

It came just hours after he was pelted with a £5.25 Five Guys banana and salted caramel milkshake while campaigning in Newcastle.

He told around 500 supporters at the event, held at the Bolton Whites Hotel, that he would not dignify what had happened by acknowledging it, before going on to accuse politicians who have tried to oppose Brexit of 'radicalising' the public.

He said: "I won't even acknowledge the lame brain behaviour that I was subjected to this morning, I won't dignify it, I will ignore it.

"I'll just buy new clothes and carry on.
