'I let my picky son get fast food during a wedding - the bride was furious'

A man has come under fire online for allowing his son to go out and buy fast food during a wedding which has made the bride and her family furious.

The unnamed man knows thathis son, 22, is a picky eater and at the wedding they soon realised he would not be able to eat the meal, so he allowed his son to drive out and get fast food for himself.

However, when other guests caught wind of what was going on, some of them asked for fast food themselves so the bride and the wedding organisers are furious with him and his son.

Taking to Reddit, the dad explained that their table was near enough to the dancefloor so some people could smell it but he thought it was fine for his son to get some other food.

In the post, he said: "My cousin was getting married and had a lovely reception with a nice buffet.

"He wasn’t a fan of what was served so I let him leave and get some food. Word spread amongst our family where he was going and a few people asked him to bring things back so he did."

The man went on to say that their table was near the dancefloor so some of the wedding party could smell the food he had brought back.

He said: "Apparently the venue and the family of the bride were appalled and I don’t understand why. It was a great party but he wanted something different and other people did too.

"Everyone else who partook in the fast food did so because, well, it was there and tasted good. They didn’t have a problem with the venue's food."

However, in response, many people have judged their decision and said it could have been handled in a different way.

One person wrote: "You should have arranged something beforehand instead of doing it like this."

While another said: "Why couldn’t he wait a couple of hours until the reception was over? A lot of fast food is 24 hour."
